Help with purpose and procrastination

If you are dissatisfied with your career direction, experiencing self-doubt, or impacted by recent world events, we can support you in setting achievable goals to regain a sense of fulfilment.

If you have ever experienced frustration with yourself because of your inability to complete tasks within a set timeframe, or find yourself procrastinating even when you know what you need to do is important, you are not alone. Whether in the realm of work, study, home-life or personal projects – the way we meet these challenges can set us up for satisfaction or struggle.

Sometimes connecting with the purpose behind what you are doing can be helpful in unlocking the motivation to get it done. There might be times when what you plan to do (or need to do) is unpleasant or scary like visiting the doctor or making an appointment to see the dentist. While other tasks might feel mundane like cleaning the house or organising expense receipts. Overcoming avoidance of possibly unpleasant, anxiety-provoking or insurmountable, yet essential, activities might be the only way through, but accessing support through this process to “drop the struggle” is key to changing the way we meet such experiences.

Working with Mangrove House Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) specialist, Remona, you will gently explore what is important to you and how you can set about living in-line with your values more effectively.
